Serial tech entrepreneur and ex-director of Ukraine’s State Space Agency Volodymyr Usov told the life path through Odesa’s National Maritime Academy to world SpaceTech: from the city’s seaport to getting into tech in 2011, founded Gutenbergz, a “digital publishing house” that produced interactive e-books. In 2014, he founded a 3D-printing startup called Kwambio – the 3D-printing of ceramics instead of plastics (An offshoot called Project ADAM would later attempt to print replacement human bones.)
Today Usov announced he was starting a new space project called Kurs Orbital, which builds on a Soviet-era orbital system.
