Ukrainian tech company Boosters, part of the Genesis ecosystem, has sold its popular sleep app Avrora to American entrepreneur Ken Colbert. While the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, Boosters announced that ₴3.5 million of the proceeds will be donated to the charitable foundations “Children of Heroes” and KOLO.

Avrora, initially named Sleep Booster, was founded in 2018 by Boosters CEO Mykhailo Halian. The app evolved from a simple sleep timer to a comprehensive tool featuring a smart alarm clock, sleep tracking, soothing sounds, and a library of content designed to aid relaxation and sleep.
According to Halian, Avrora generated over $15 million in revenue for Boosters and helped more than 10 million users improve their sleep through over 40 million sessions. The decision to sell the app in 2022 was driven by a desire to focus resources on areas with even greater growth potential.
Ken Colbert: A New Chapter for Avrora
American entrepreneur Ken Colbert acquired Avrora due to its strong potential. With over 20 years of experience in software development, Colbert recently founded his own app development company, One Eleven, which includes the 360 Kiosk app that helps retailers manage online service refusals.
Colbert plans to continue serving Avrora’s existing user base while expanding downloads to establish the app among the top five in its niche.
