Ukraine has become 47th according to the Global Innovation Index

The Global Innovation Index (GII) provides detailed indicators of innovation performance based on innovative activities of infrastructure, human capital and research, market sophistication, technology and business sophistication.
Here is the Global Innovation Index 2019 results for Ukraine

  • Ukraine has been risen to 47th place in 2019 out of 129 with the score of 37.40 and climbed 17 steps up since 2015 by 64th .First time in 2017, Ukraine has entered to TOP 50 most innovative countries.

  • Ukraine has been showing growth constantly and taken the 2nd position in Lower middle-income economies out of 26. Moreover, according to the report Ukraine has performed above the expectations for level of development.
  •  Ukraine has significantly managed to improve its Education, Knowledge and Technologies, Creative Outputs and Human Capital and Research scores year by year. Especially, in Knowledge Creation sub-indicator Ukraine has strengthen its position impressively.
  • In Europe Ukraine is ahead of Albania(83), Belarus(72), Bosnia and Herzegovina(76), Georgia(48), Macedonia(59), Moldova(58), Romania(50), Serbia(57).
