[TechUkraine news] Oleksandr Iefremov, CEO of Kitsoft: The effectiveness of digital technologies, the role of e-government in the fight against the pandemic

Ukrainian IT company Kitsoft, which specializes in public technologies and is the developer of the public online services portal Diia, participated in the event “Connective Cities Series on Municipal Response to COVID-19” discussed the effectiveness of digital technologies, the role of e-government in the fight against the pandemic and digitalization in country-wide levels.

Oleksandr Iefremov, CEO of Kitsoft, shared the experience of cooperation with the government and the importance of the implementation of digital services during uncertain times – key points.

1️⃣ Diia project can be imagined as a marketplace for public services. Users will get a comfortable experience in parallel with developed countries, and the government can quickly create and adapt new online services, in line with today’s challenges.
2️⃣ We have developed a method of analysis that helps us to analyze the regulatory documentation quickly, taking into account significant factors, and eliminating insignificant ones and as a result, we enter government services into a new era.
3️⃣ The pandemic has shown that convenient online services help us not only save time but are also important in not putting ourselves and the health of our family at risk during the pandemic.

The International network of Connective Cities unites cities and urban practitioners with the intent to disseminate local knowledge on the international level, as well as promotes collaboration. The platform is run by the German Association of Cities, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (GIZ), and Engagement Global with its Service Agency Communities in One World (SKEW).
