Did you know that Ukrainian engineers invented a tech solution for crop protection that impacts up to 70% of yield?
Meet Ukrainian company Kray Technologies – robotic drones for the aerial application of crop protection and plant nutrition. It’s a next-generation technology that improves farmers’ yields and soil fertility.
Founded in 2015, the team presented the early prototype of Kray Protection at Drone World Expo 2016 in San Jose, California. Thanks to winning the CRDF Global competition in 2017, Kray introduced a new Kray Protection UAS during Techcrunch Disrupt San Francisco and next year took part in an innovation conference in Las Vegas CES 2018 as the winner of the UVCA – Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association/Western NIS Enterprise Fund competition. In May 2019, a pre-series version was presented at the industry exhibition AUVSI Xponential 2018 in Denver. Since 2019, the Kray team has started mass production and rapid expansion on the market, developing automated testing and IoT infrastructure, VR-based operator courses, etc. In 2020 the team raised a $ 50000 investment seed-round by Ukrainian Startup Fund.
