TechUkraine initiated the project “Ukrainian Tech Ecosystem Achievements 2021,” where we share the stories of the prominent stakeholders of the sphere – tech giants, startups, clusters, funds, media, accelerators, celebrating the success of the year and discovering what lies ahead in 2022 and beyond.

Let’s deep dive into some of the most significant achievements-making developments of the year!

Awesomic

What are the key achievements of 2021?

  • Growth. We’ve grown x11 during 2021. That’s 1 month = whole 2020.
  • Y Combinator. YC helped us scale up and fundraise.
  • $2 MLN Seed round. That’s definitely a great booster before 2022!

Awesomic Co-founders Roman Sevastyanov & Stacy Pavlyshyna joined the 30 under 30 list of the most successful young Ukrainian entrepreneurs by Forbes Ukraine.

Which challenges were the most impactful during the year?

Hiring. We are looking for a lot of talented people from different specialties, such as marketing managers, developers, recruiters, designers, data engineers, and customer success managers.

How will Ukrainian tech be developing? Approach, projections and perspectives for 2022?

  • We’ll see more & bigger rounds in startups;
  • New early starts & unicorns in UA startup scene;
  • Cost of hiring would be even higher, so companies would invest more in education to grow new talents.
