American University Kyiv opened its doors yesterday in the capital of Ukraine.
  • American University Kyiv is a private university that will operate under the auspices of Arizona State University.
  • AUK will start offering undergraduate, graduate, and lifelong learning programs in the areas of IT and business management in 2022.
  • Recruitment of Ukrainian entrants will begin in March, allowing them to receive a higher education built on the American model without studying directly in the United States.
  • The American University students will be taught by English-speaking professors worldwide, who are recognized in world rankings and include Fulbright Fellows and other winners of prestigious European and American awards.
  • The AUK based in Kyiv, Poshtova square in the renovated River Port building.
  • The President of the University is Rick Shengrow, founding rector is Dr. Roman Sheremeta, one of the most cited Ukrainian economists in the world.
