Despite the full-scale russian invasion in Ukraine and 23th day of war, Ukraine’s innovation potential was presented to the world within the International Conference South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin (Texas, USA) which includes many tracks on the most important achievements in technology, innovation, culture and other areas.
Unfortunately, during the event it was not possible to get directly acquainted and communicate with the teams of startups (the Ukrainian delegation canceled the visit due to the Russian military aggression). But representatives of the Ukrainian community in Austin came to the rescue, presenting their projects to SXSW visitors on behalf of the startups.
Thus, 6 startups were presented at SXSW 2022:
This year, the Ukrainian pavilion with the best startups of Ukraine was presented at the conference for the first time.
The Ukrainian pavilion also raised funds to help Ukraine in challenging time and overcome war treats.

Come Back Alive is one of the largest charitable foundations that supports Ukrainian soldiers, founded by the IT specialist Vitaliy Deynega. The organization collected more than 210 million UAH (more than $7M) in 2014. According to Na chasi, the Patreon page Come Back Alive is in the top ten projects by the number of financial donations.
There are several other organizations to support:
- Army SOS, which develops drones;
- Everybody Can, an organization that supports internally displaced people;
- Help on the Ministry of Defense website.
