DOU: Ukrainian IT in the first month of the war

Ukrainian IT in the first month of the war: from March 23 to 26, DOU collected 6,812 questionnaires of Ukrainian IT specialists – both those who remained in Ukraine and who went abroad – and asked what had happened to them over the past month.

Highlights:
  • More than 60% left their homes
  • More than 80% of the surveyed professionals are already working full time
  • 91% of tech specialists are actively helping the country by transferring money to the army and volunteers
  • 77% of IT specialists’s incomes have not changed significantly.

The organization collected more than 210 million UAH (more than $7M) in 2014. According to Na chasi, the Patreon page Come Back Alive is in the top ten projects by the number of financial donations.

  • Everybody Can, an organization that supports internally displaced people;
  • Help on the Ministry of Defense website.
