Sluhay & Projector Launched Digital Communication About Ukrainian Literature

As a part of the Illustration for Designers course, Oksana Shkoropad, a student at the Projector Institute, created illustrations of classic Ukrainian writers for the Sluhay online library.
Four artists were chosen for digital communication:
- Ivan Franko,
- Lesya Ukrainka,
- Ivan Bagryany,
- and Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky
They were depicted in a non-standard, craft style and supplemented with famous quotes that are especially relevant in our time. The color scheme and technique are reminiscent of children’s drawings and “remove” the typical perception from the masters of words. Instead, they help to look at writers from another side and find new meanings in their works.
Illustrations have already been integrated on the website and into the social media of the online library. Also they will be used in the visual communication of the project to strengthen its concept.
