TU Overview of existing reports and data on Ukrainian IT

[TechUkraine research]
⚡️During 3 months we had been collecting, validating, and analyzing more than 70 analytical reports about the technological ecosystem of Ukraine🇺🇦 (local and international) within the project “Consolidation Report of Available Data of UA Tech Market” to create the basis for strategic decisions-making of the Ministry of Digital Transformation Міністерство цифрової трансформації України.
We are happy to represent the conclusions based on our work👇
We found out the gaps and lack of information for the following topics:
❌ local IT market and industries that are the largest consumers of IT in Ukraine
❌ vertical and cross specialization of the companies in the field of modern technologies and the structure of exported IT services
❌ number of IT companies and their structure
❌ R&D, because there is a need to unify the methodology of data collection and calculate the investment in R&D in the Tech field
❌ financial indicators (structure of profit and investment, taxes)
❌ infrastructure as an environment necessary for the successful operation of IT companies
❌ human capital and the labor market, because we have incomplete data on the employment of graduates of specialized universities, the number of IT professionals working in non-IT companies and the migration of developers abroad
The research was conducted within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the NGO TechUkraine in partnership with the Trade+, International Trade Research Center (KSE) and with the support of the Програма USAID «Конкурентоспроможна економіка України»
👉Our common goal is to make Ukraine a strong and innovative technological country on the global map of leading nations. Therefore, under the results of the research, the Ministry will keep finding ways to attract international/donor investments for quality and detailed research for deepening and strengthening technological industry in Ukraine
