L’illustré: Technological innovation at the service of the Ukrainian resistance

Switzerland media L’illustré showcased the cyber and tech frontier of the war through the lens of personal stories of Ukrainian resistance.

  • At the end of February, as the Russian army pounded the suburbs of Kyiv, the residential building basement of Yegor Aushev, co-founder and CEO of cyber defense company CyberUnitTech, imposed itself as an improvised shelter.
  • “I wrote my messages on the ground, between the cars.” But he had to go out into the street to send them beyond the thick concrete walls. An inconvenient environment to launch a cyber army. But each time Yegor Aushev picked up a fleeting connection, the responses to his call rolled in by the dozens.

My guys and I are just normal people: we see barbarians coming to our house to destroy everything… of course, I want to stop the invaders! – Yegor Aushev.
