This strategic expansion is multi-faceted. TEKEVER aims to:

  • Enhance Operational Synergy: Bolster its network of engineering, service, and R&D facilities, creating new training centers to improve joint operations with Ukrainian partners.
  • Accelerate Adaptation: Speed up the process of tailoring its cutting-edge drone systems to meet the specific, evolving demands of the Ukrainian theatre.
  • Boost Local Capabilities: Improve training opportunities for Ukrainian operators and technicians.
  • Foster Innovation: Collaborate more closely with Ukrainian organizations to co-develop next-generation solutions, tapping into the nation’s burgeoning pool of miltech talent.

TEKEVER’s commitment isn’t new. The company has been actively supporting Ukraine since the onset of the full-scale invasion in 2022, providing vital intelligence-gathering capabilities. Its AR3 drone model has already proven its mettle, accumulating over 10,000 flight hours under demanding combat conditions in Ukraine.

Feedback from the front lines is crucial. As one Ukrainian operator, whose unit utilizes TEKEVER systems, stated, “Our unit provides critical intelligence… We are in constant communication with the TEKEVER team, relaying feedback from our missions”. He emphasized TEKEVER’s responsiveness: “They analyze the challenges we face… and implement changes into their unmanned systems”.

The decision to establish a permanent base reflects a broader strategic vision. “Ukraine is transforming into a hub for defense and technological innovation amidst the war”, stated TEKEVER CEO Ricardo Mendes. “The geopolitical landscape has shifted profoundly… Our expansion reflects this new reality and our determination to lead in developing critical defense capabilities for all of Europe”.

The upcoming recruitment drive will focus primarily on technical positions, distributed across various regions within Ukraine, further integrating TEKEVER into the local innovation landscape. The company has already supported initiatives backing Ukrainian startups working on critical front-line technologies.

About TEKEVER: TEKEVER leverages a sophisticated AI platform combining Edge AI, satellite communications, and cloud computing to deliver actionable intelligence via its UAS. Renowned for maritime surveillance, the company also boasts expertise in advanced satellite communication systems, including inter-satellite links. With R&D, engineering, and production centers in Portugal, France, and the UK, TEKEVER operates through a global network to support its clients worldwide.

This move by TEKEVER not only strengthens its support for Ukraine’s defense but also positions the company at the heart of Europe’s evolving security technology landscape.
