KYIV, UKRAINE – In a move that underscores Ukraine’s relentless drive for battlefield innovation, the Ministry of Defence has officially codified and approved the UB60D, a groundbreaking attack drone complex developed by the leading defense firm “Ukrainian Armor“. This isn’t just another drone; it’s a paradigm shift in tactical efficiency, delivering a high-precision weapon that is, quite literally, ready for impact straight out of the box.

At the heart of the UB60D’s design is a simple yet revolutionary concept: integration. Unlike conventional FPV (First-Person View) drones that require soldiers to manually attach and arm a warhead in the field—a process that consumes precious time and increases risk—the UB60D comes pre-loaded. Its core is a powerful 60mm fragmentation mine, seamlessly integrated into the drone’s airframe and control systems.
“The UB60D is our answer to the demands of modern warfare, where speed is life”, explains Vladyslav Belbas, the CEO of “Ukrainian Armor”. “The key advantage is that the drone requires no warhead assembly. This saves an immense amount of time. It transforms the UB60D into a high-precision, ready-to-use weapon, an ideal solution for today’s dynamic battlefield”.
This “plug-and-play” philosophy extends to the entire system. Designed to hunt and neutralize enemy infantry and light-armored vehicles, the UB60D boasts features tailored for maximum operational tempo:
- Instant Readiness: The unified design allows for immediate deployment without additional setup.
- High Mobility: The system is engineered for easy transport and can be brought to combat readiness in moments.
- User-Friendly Interface: The learning curve for operators is significantly reduced, allowing for rapid scaling of skilled pilots.
A full UB60D complex is a formidable force, consisting of 250 individual drones and a unified ground control station, enabling sustained operations.
Crucially, this system is not a prototype waiting for its debut. The UB60D is already a battle-hardened asset. “The first production samples successfully passed combat trials on the Pokrovsk front back in January”, Belbas confirmed. “Right now, the UB60D is actively working in the interests of our drone battalions on the Zaporizhzhia front”.
The official adoption of the UB60D by the Armed Forces of Ukraine marks a significant milestone. It represents the pinnacle of a new defense-tech doctrine: creating smart, efficient, and user-centric solutions born directly from battlefield experience. For Ukraine’s tech sector, it’s another powerful demonstration of its ability to innovate under pressure, turning tactical needs into sophisticated, life-saving, and enemy-stopping technology.
