Yehor Anchyshkin, the former founder of Zakaz.ua, has raised $4 million in seed funding for his new startup, Instock Inc. The company is focused on simplifying 3D automation of goods and services using robotics as a service (RaaS), and is building warehouse robots in the US. One Way Ventures, Lux Capital, and Commerce VC led the funding round, — Forbes reports.

Anchyshkin originally founded Zakaz.ua in 2010 as a delivery service for large supermarket orders (up to 40 kg) in Ukraine. The company’s partners included nearly all major supermarket chains in the country. Initially, the company received investment from Oleksandr Olshanskyi, Evgenia Dubinska, Denys Dovgopoliy, Bas Godska, and a number of private investors. Later, control of the project was acquired by the Chernovetskiy Investment Group (CIG), which invested about $15 million from 2014 to 2019 and increased its share to 98.8%.

However, in 2017, Anchyshkin left Zakaz.ua due to disagreements over the company’s development strategy. He proposed focusing on expansion in the US, while CIG was more interested in markets within Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries. After an unsuccessful attempt to scale Zakaz.ua in the US, Anchyshkin left the project entirely and turned his attention to building a new business in America.
