Japan, the world’s third-largest economy and Asia’s largest supporter of Ukraine in the ongoing conflict, has successfully concluded an online startups pitch event.
Japanese companies were able to see the growth and development of Ukrainian startups, despite the war. The event was organized by the Japanese government-affiliated organization JETRO and Ago-ra IT Consulting, and took place on March 17th.
In total, 10 Ukrainian startups took part in the event, each presenting their outstanding products. The Japanese audience was represented by nearly 100 Japanese enterprises, startups, institutional investors, government organizations and research laboratories. JETRO, Ago-ra IT Consulting, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry were among the hosts and speakers.
Ukrainian companies, which were primarily focused on Europe and the United States, are now turning their attention to Japan. The event has generated buzz in Ukraine’s tech sector, and it is expected to foster further IT-related exchanges between Japan and Ukraine in the future.
