Ukrainian Startup Masthead Data Raised $1.3 mln

Masthead Data, a startup with Ukrainian funders, has raised a $1.3 million pre-seed round. This was announced by Boris Muselak, one of the investors who participated in the round.

Masthead Data is a startup founded by Ukrainians Yulia and Sergey Tkachev. It develops a service that allows businesses to track errors and anomalies in large data sets in real time, without access to customer data and without increasing their cloud computing costs.

SMOK Ventures, DEPO Ventures, Monochrome, Alchemist Accelerator, as well as angel investors from Snowflake, former Uber and Google employees, and other investors participated in this round, — AIN.UA informs.

“I met Julia at Google For Startups, where she pitched her startup to investors in Warsaw back in February. We hit it off right away because I was familiar with the problem they were solving from my work with Samba TV. Any company working with large amounts of data has the same problem: data flows are disrupted for various reasons. Masthead finds such violations by analyzing logs, without requiring any heavy integrations like its competitors,” — writes Boris.

Masthead Data currently works with Google Cloud, but will be launched for other providers in the coming months. It can integrate with Looker, so users can see how data errors affect customers and business operations. In August 2022, Masthead became one of the startups that received financial assistance from the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund.
