Operation “Unity”: UNITED24, “Come Back Alive” and monobank launch fundraising for 10,000 kamikaze drones for the Ukrainian Defense Forces

The Army Competent Assistance Foundation “Come Back Alive“, the UNITED24 fundraising platform and monobank have launched the “Operation Unity” project. Its goal is to provide the Ukrainian army with 10,000 FPV drones with ammunition worth UAH 235 million.

“This war is a battle of technologies. Starliners, maritime drones, situational awareness systems, UAVs – all of these are changing the situation on the battlefield. The importance of easy-to-use and inexpensive kamikaze drones cannot be overestimated. That is why we are pleased to announce a collection that emphasizes the importance of unification. Operation Unity is a good example of a joint initiative of major fundraising players for a common goal. We are confident that dozens of Ukrainian companies and hundreds of thousands of donors from all over the world will join us,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology of Ukraine, — the press office of the Ministry of Digital Transformation reports.

Ten thousand FPV drones worth 178 million hryvnias will be purchased abroad, and in Ukraine they will be equipped with combat units worth 57 million hryvnias. The “Come Back Alive” foundation will purchase the kamikaze drones and deliver them to the troops.

“Operation “Unity” is our response to one of the most frequent requests from the army today – attack drones. Together with the fundraising platform UNITED24 and monobank, we will not just purchase 10,000 FPV drones, all of them will have a warhead – thermobaric and high-explosive fragmentation munitions. Such kamikaze drones have proven to be effective on the battlefield, destroying dozens of enemy armored vehicles and burning hundreds of occupants out of their fortifications,” comments Taras Chmut, director of the Come Back Alive Foundation for Competent Army Assistance.

The project organizers will draw special prizes among all those who donate to the kamikaze drones. You can win, for example, a battle flag raised in the recently liberated village of Pyatikhatky in Zaporizhzhia, a meeting with UNITED24 ambassadors, 100 platinum mono cards, five of which contain 100,000 hryvnias, and more.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 25 billion hryvnias have been raised for charity through mono banks. At the same time, we see how much more difficult it has become for both philanthropists and foundations that help Ukraine during the great war. So we are not only joining forces, but also adding lots to the collection to strengthen it and become our way of saying thank you to all those who continue to support the Ukrainian army,” says Oleg Gorokhovsky, co-founder of monobank.
