KSE Startup Ecosystem Demo Day Showcases Ukraine’s Rising Tech Talent

KSE GBS Startup Ecosystem’s Final Event –
Demo Day Successfully Held!

KSE GBS team is proud to announce the successful completion of the final event of the training program for early-stage and pre-MVP startups – Demo Day, which took place on June 1, 2024, at the Kyiv School of Economics campus.

The Startup Ecosystem program, created by the KSE GBS team, provided support for seven months to talented young people who aspire to create their own businesses and take the first steps towards entrepreneurship, as well as dream of making their own contribution to the development of Ukraine’s economy.

Event Highlights

The 14 of the strongest teams reached Demo Day, where they presented their innovative projects to the jury and audience. After a rigorous selection process and intensive training, the teams demonstrated high level of preparation and the potential of their business ideas for further development.

Participants and Winners

Among the participants were the following teams:

  • B2buy’s – Ruslan Yukhymenko – a digital platform for procurement optimization
  • Ababa – Konstiantyn Kovba – AI-powered videos for children
  • Outex – Yulia Tkachenko – a sports app where professional trainers create exercise complexes, and built-in AI monitors users’ correct exercise performance.
  • Jamlix – Anton Salata – a platform for interactive learning and mastering new skills
  • Elixira – Yaroslav Burlakov – a vitamin bar vending machine in supermarkets and gyms
  • aiQueue by BizAI – Taras Tanyhin – an app for tracking queues in city establishments (beauty salons, hairdressers, restaurants) using artificial intelligence
  • Grion – Volodymyr Hesfer – a device for generating electricity from soil
  • Devalet – Ivan Omelchenko – a mobile app for shared parking in big cities
  • Xnet – Yurii Loboda – a device for taking down drones
  • Sky wing – Serhii Bodrov – a gamified platform for creating, administering, and monetizing online courses.
  • VyshyvAI – Oleksandr Maslovskyi – an AI-based platform for creating unique Ukrainian patterns
  • Nasia – Anna Yatsiuk – disposable, biodegradable tableware made from natural fibers with seeds of various plants inside.
  • Pet wellness – Aliona Matvieieva – a mobile app with all pet documents and reminders of vet visits
  • WildCodes – Serhii Lavrinchuk – a platform for hiring people with technical education

The jury chose WildCodes, a startup that helps software startups grow faster and save up to 50% on product development costs, as the winner of Demo Day and the first season of Startup Ecosystem. The team received the main prize and will now have the opportunity to present their project at the international event for European startups – Stage Two in Berlin this autumn, on October 30th.

The jury included well-known experts and investors:

  • Maksym Makarenko – representative from Google
  • Andriy Zinchuk – founder of ZAS Ventures
  • Petro Soviak-Krukovskyi – investment director of Vesna Capital

Partners were also present at the event, including representatives of Genesis, Archysoft, Stud Point, as well as mentors: Oleh Zubchenok, Hryhorii Legeshchenko (Prozoro Sales), Markiyan Moroz, and Myron Yanytskyi (Roosh Ventures), and invited guests – representatives of the startup industry in Ukraine – Andrii Zaikin (founder of YEP), Ihor Markevych (representative of EIT), Dmytro Kuzmenko (director of the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association).

We thank all participants, partners, and guests for their support throughout the project and participation in Demo Day!

This event served as an excellent platform for showcasing innovative ideas and stimulating entrepreneurial activity among young people, which is the main goal of the project. We are proud of our teams and look forward to new achievements.
