Ukraine’s Biggest Design Conference, Dysarium, Returns to Lviv with a Focus on “Unity”

Lviv, Ukraine – Get ready to be inspired! Dysarium, Ukraine’s largest design conference, is back for its second year on October 5th. Hosted by Pixlab design space (part of the TVORY! network) in collaboration with CASES, this free event promises a day packed with creativity, networking, and top-notch speakers from Ukraine and around the world.

What’s the Big Idea?

This year’s theme, “Unity,” is all about bringing designers together to share experiences and build a stronger design community in Ukraine.

Yuriy Bakay, Head of Pixlab and Co-founder of Dysarium, explains, “We wanted to create more than just a one-time event… Our goal is to foster a sense of togetherness, as we believe it is our cultural value and that living and creating together is much more rewarding.”

Who’s Coming to the Party?

The lineup is impressive. You’ll hear from design leaders like:

  • Volodymyr Smirnov: Design Director at Spiilka Design Büro
  • Dmytro Rastvortsev: Ukrainian type designer
  • Kostya Schneider: Creative Director at Publicis Groupe Ukraine & Czech Republic + Saatchi & Saatchi Ukraine
  • Valentin Paniuta: Co-founder and CEO at HyperNormal
  • Stefan Sagmeister: World-renowned graphic designer (joining live from Lviv!)

Anatoly Popel, CEO of CASES and Creative Practice, is pumped about the event: “Organizing a large-scale event for thousands of people during a full-scale war, making it free for attendees, and still delivering a high-quality program with top speakers is an incredibly ambitious feat!”

Join the Fun

The conference takes place at !FESTrepublic in Lviv. While in-person attendance requires pre-registration, online viewers will soon have the chance to schedule their virtual participation through the CASES platform.

Dysarium is made possible with the support of the Lviv City Council under the “Lviv — the European Youth Capital 2025” initiative, along with financial backing from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through KfW. Additional support comes from Excited!, Eleks, Railsware, and many others.
