Kyiv, Ukraine – Ajax Systems, a leading European security systems manufacturer, has partnered with the National Aviation University (NAU) to open a state-of-the-art electronics laboratory. The lab, inaugurated on September 25th, will serve as a hub for practical student training and the development of cutting-edge electronics solutions.

Located within the Faculty of Air Navigation, Electronics, and Telecommunications, the lab provides 20 workstations equipped with advanced tools and technologies, including computer equipment, microcontrollers, optical devices, and 3D printers. This comprehensive setup will empower students to pursue their own projects and research endeavors.
“Ajax Systems has an ambitious goal to modernize university technical laboratories across Ukraine. We are actively working to create modern conditions for studying in higher education institutions to provide access to resources and allow young professionals to implement their projects and gain practical knowledge and experience that will be useful in their future careers in the commercial sector,” said Aleksandr Konotopskyi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
The collaboration between Ajax Systems and NAU extends beyond the lab itself. The partners plan to organize specialized educational programs, such as startup incubators, hackathons, and masterclasses led by industry experts. These initiatives will be open to students specializing in electronics, telecommunications, avionics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Additionally, Ajax Systems will launch its first internship program at NAU in November 2024, focusing on QA Device specialization.
“The new laboratory is maximally adapted to allow students to work on the practical part of their classes. While it was operating in test mode, junior students had already made their first radios here. It’s fascinating that young people now have the opportunity to study with modern equipment. Thanks to such joint projects, we are returning the popularity of engineering specialties, and this is the right and very timely step because the country needs engineers,” said Ksenia Semenova, Acting Rector of NAU.
This initiative is part of Ajax Next, an educational program dedicated to supporting and advancing engineering education in Ukraine. Through partnerships with leading educational institutions, Ajax Systems promotes learning activities and provides material support. To date, Ajax Next has facilitated two internships, two Embedded programming schools, and equipped three university laboratories.
