Tech4Good Global Challenge #1: Energy for Ukraine

Global Initiative Seeks Innovative Energy Solutions for Ukraine’s Winter Crisis

October 14, 2024 – Massive Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure have destroyed or damaged more than 50% of power lines, leading to widespread blackouts. More than 10 million people are affected by the energy crisis, and this number continues to grow as the winter months approach.

In response to the critical energy crisis in Ukraine, the Tech4Good Global Challenge #1: Energy for Ukraine is inviting startups, SMEs, and innovators from across the globe to submit energy solutions to the platform tech4goodchallenge.org. The first Open Call runs from October 15 to November 15, 2024.

We aim to create a list of selected projects, ensure funding from corporations and donors, and facilitate the implementation of technologies in Ukraine. Additionally, we will take measures for the startups to be included in a comprehensive global database with the potential for deployment in other regions affected by conflict and natural disasters.

Whether you are a startup, corporation, donor, or humanitarian organization, your participation will help provide energy security for Ukraine and contribute to crisis preparedness on a global scale. Let’s join forces to make an impact!

The initiative is being organized by the NGO TechUkraine with support from the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Spain.
