As generative AI continues to redefine the technological landscape, the Ukrainian DevOps community is set to host a pivotal conversation. On September 3, 2025, DevOpsDays Kyiv will present its AI Chapter, a highly anticipated online event bringing together global thought leaders and local innovators for a definitive look at the future of development, operations, and artificial intelligence.

This is more than a webinar; it is a continuation of the global DevOpsDays movement, renowned for its community-centric approach and interactive “Open Space” format, where attendees collaboratively set the agenda.
The evening’s program (GMT+3) offers a curated journey through the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the AI domain. It will begin at 5:10 PM with an opening session from Andreea Munteanu, with the specific topic to be announced.
At 5:50 PM, Oleksii Ostapets will present “From Skepticism to Superpower: Adopting AI Tools in Dev Teams”. This is not a theoretical discussion but a candid, real-world case study from Preply. Ostapets will share the honest journey from initial skepticism to the strategic, metric-driven adoption of tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise, offering actionable insights for engineering leaders.
Following at 6:30 PM, Kateryna Dubas will address the critical legal landscape in her talk, “AI Compliance Trends: IP & Data Protection in EU & U.S.”, navigating the complex web of new regulations that businesses must now face.
At 7:10 PM, George Fahmy tackles the challenge of reliability in his session, “Building Reliable Agents for DevOps”, sharing essential learnings on evaluating and improving LLM agents for production infrastructure at scale.
Then, at 7:50 PM, Max Körbächer provides a pragmatic guide in “Platform Engineering for LLMs: A Practical Guide to Running Your Own AI Stack”. This talk moves beyond public AI services to explore the architectural patterns and operational practices required to run self-hosted LLMs for enhanced data privacy, cost control, and customization.
The evening culminates at 8:30 PM with a closing keynote from Patrick Debois, the originator of the term “DevOps”. His session, “The impact of genAI on development and the SDLC”, will explore the new wave of automation driven by agentic AI, providing a framework for navigating the future of AI-native development.
This world-class event is organized by prominent figures in the local tech community, including Mykola Marzhan (Canonical Ubuntu), Oleg Mykolaichenko (Amazon), and Yurii Rochniak (Preply), ensuring a deep connection to the needs and interests of Ukrainian IT professionals.
In line with its community ethos, the conference proudly partners with the UA Responders foundation to raise funds for the rehabilitation of those affected by the war.
