This marks the inception of the first official Solana community in Ukraine, endowed with Superteam privileges. The Superteam initiative is designed to assist developers and web3 enthusiasts in accessing everything they need for launching their projects. This includes support for ideas, grant-making, and participation in hackathons.
Superteam primarily focuses on regional communities, aligning with the prospects and specific characteristics of the Ukrainian web3 market. Recognizing this, the ecosystem has supported the initiative of Ukrainians to organize themselves into the Kumeka Team.
Andriy Hnatiuk and Mark Letsyuk, founders of Kumeka Team, have a substantial history with the ecosystem, providing them with a profound understanding of its inner workings.
They extend an invitation to join their Discord channel for discussions on growing promising projects from ideas, preparing for global Solana hackathons, securing grants for Ukrainian projects, and much more.
Who should join the Kumeka Team? The community welcomes web3 developers and contributors from web2 interested in new opportunities, content creators such as designers, copywriters, and marketers, as well as project and product managers—essentially, anyone involved in project creation. Additionally, individuals seeking to earn money through tasks from web3 projects, known as “bounties,” are also encouraged to join.
What does the Kumeka Team community do? They offer free Solana development training, organize online and offline meetups, share insights into web3 work, provide guidance on navigating hackathons and winning grants, support projects and ideas with grants, facilitate the formation of project teams, and connect participants with potential partners interested in their ideas.
To accommodate enthusiasts with varying levels of expertise, the initiative emphasizes education as the first step. Kumeka Team has partnered with IdeaSoft Career Booster, another Ukrainian project, to offer two free courses on Solana development—one for beginners covering the basics of Rust and another for advanced Solana developers.
The initiative addresses several key issues:
- Spreading web3 technology in Ukraine and dispelling the myth that web3 and blockchain are solely about crypto profits. The development of this community is expected to create diverse tasks from web3 projects for various blockchain-related specialists.
- Facilitating Ukrainian developers with innovative ideas to participate in Solana hackathons. The Kumeka Team addresses concerns about the lack of community support and legal uncertainties, providing answers and solutions.
- Alleviating the challenges associated with preparing for a hackathon and presenting ideas. The support of professionals and collaborative efforts are deemed crucial in boosting the success of Ukrainian projects, consequently enhancing Ukraine’s standing in the global web3 community.
