The team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation took part in the World Economic Forum in Davos for the third time. In a few days, team met with international partners and technology companies to showcase the results of digital Ukraine, attract support and plan new digital initiatives for the year, — the press office of the Ministry reports.

“The full-scale invasion has affected our operations and involved us in completely new areas, such as defense technology, innovation, and education. In particular, we have opened the UAV market in Ukraine and created some of the best conditions for manufacturers, launched the Brave1 defense-tech cluster, implemented reforms in the govtech sector, developed the Mriya educational app, and developed the WINWIN innovation strategy. Ukraine has no choice but to become a successful and prosperous country. And the key to this is innovation and technology,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, presenting the results of the work of the Ministry of Digital Transformation for the year.

GovTech center in Kyiv
Björge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum, Jeremy Jurgens, Managing Director of the Forum, and Mykhailo Fedorov signed an agreement of intent to open a GovTech center in Kyiv. The main task of this center is to introduce innovations and technologies in the public sector, to promote digital transformation in the government and public sector organizations. The GovTech center will bring together scientists, entrepreneurs, technology companies and the public sector. This will allow them to share their experience with foreign partners and accelerate digital reforms in Ukraine.
A similar center is already planned for Berlin, and Kyiv will be the second city. This is a signal to the whole world that Ukraine is developing despite the challenges of a full-scale war, is rapidly implementing changes and increasing the efficiency of the public sector through technology.
