“The USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine Program supports the Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration project, which provides a unique opportunity for talented Ukrainian students, scientists, and entrepreneurs not only to realize their ideas but also to gain valuable experience in cooperation with leading industry experts, investors, and potential customers. We are convinced that our cooperation with Ukrainian government agencies and educational institutions during the project will strengthen the development of the deep tech industry and help Ukrainian young scientists and entrepreneurs demonstrate the strong potential of their country in the international technology market, establish successful companies that will create innovative products and high-paying jobs in the future,” – comments Olesya Zaluska, USAID Competitive Economy Program Chief of Party.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of our two new powerful acceleration programs aimed at deep tech startups. During the year, we have already successfully helped more than 30 startups accelerate their innovative solutions, and most of the participants continue to work with Vacuum on an individual basis and achieve amazing results. Accelerating knowledge-intensive startups is especially effective in the context of Ukraine’s unique prerequisites for becoming a leader in deep tech and knowledge-intensive technologies. With 181 technical universities, leadership among European countries in the number of graduates in technical specialties, and 130,000 engineers annually, we have a strong potential. However, the lack of education and knowledge dissemination limits the number of high-tech companies in Ukraine. Our effective educational and acceleration program for students, scientists, researchers and entrepreneurs in the field of high technology will help to increase the number of sustainable businesses and successful startups in deep technology. Participants will receive an active boost in their development and will have the opportunity to launch a new deep tech project or enter a new stage of business development. We go through the path from invention to product together, having in our arsenal excellent tools such as individual mentoring, webinars, bootcamps, master classes, lectures, and much more. For scientists, this is a unique opportunity to realize their ideas, receive support and validation from business and government representatives. We are convinced that together we will change the face of the Ukrainian innovation scene!” – comments Kateryna Degtyar, Program Director of Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration and Director of Startup Grind Kyiv.

The Science Intensive Innovation and Development and Renovation acceleration programs are implemented by Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration with the support of the USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine Program, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, together with the Kyiv Academic University, Ukrainian Startup Fund, and YEP Accelerator.
