In a significant move for global digital governance, Ukraine, through its GovTech Center Kyiv (GGTC Kyiv), has joined forces with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and GGTC Berlin to launch the GovTech Intelligence Hub. This new international platform acts as a central knowledge-sharing hub dedicated to public sector digital transformation, designed to be a vibrant ecosystem for exchanging cutting-edge insights, real-world experiences, and sharp analysis.

Think of the Hub as the new global nexus for GovTech leaders and innovators. It’s built to exchange ideas, showcase groundbreaking research, highlight practical case studies, and feature insights from digital transformation pioneers across the globe. The platform aims to provide a panoramic view of how technology is revolutionizing government services – from high-level strategy formulation down to national and regional implementation.
This initiative marks a strategic step in advancing the global GovTech agenda, concentrating efforts on accumulating and disseminating expertise in digital governance.
Ukraine’s involvement isn’t just passive; GGTC Kyiv is a co-initiator and key partner in this venture. Valeriya Ionan, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for Eurointegration, commented on the launch: “We are proud to be among the platform’s founding participants. Our digital solutions have been rigorously tested under crisis conditions – first by the COVID-19 pandemic, and now by full-scale invasion. This proves their resilience, but more importantly, we believe deeply in collaboration and strong partnerships. GovTech has the power to transcend borders; it can be scaled, adapted, and implemented worldwide, especially during challenging times when robust state infrastructure is crucial.”
The GovTech Intelligence Hub is already live, featuring:
- Thought Leadership: Opinion pieces from digital ministers and transformation leaders worldwide.
- Deep Dives: Analytical reports, research papers, and international expertise on innovation, policy, and tech deployment.
- Success Stories: Concrete examples of effective digital solutions in public governance, spanning municipal to national levels.
Ukraine is actively populating the Hub with its own hard-won successes, including initial case studies on the renowned ‘Diia‘ state services app and its ecosystem projects, eHealth, and the uResidency program. Expect more articles, analyses, and contributions from Ukraine’s digital leadership soon.
Crucially, the GovTech Intelligence Hub is an open platform. It welcomes contributions from anyone with hands-on experience implementing tech solutions in the public sector, fostering a truly global community of practice.
