Spanish specialized vehicle manufacturer Tecnove has entered into a strategic partnership with leading Ukrainian defense company Practika NVO, securing a landmark agreement to produce advanced Ukrainian-designed armored vehicles. This collaboration brings Ukrainian defense technology to Tecnove’s production lines in Herencia, La Mancha, where the versatile Djura and the robust Kozak family will be manufactured, with the explicit goal of targeting the global market.

This move marks a pivotal step, poised to make these battle-hardened platforms, honed with cutting-edge protection and mobility technologies, accessible on the international stage. Tecnove confirmed the vehicles will be offered in at least three core configurations:
- Medical Evacuation / Ambulance
- Troop Transport
- Special Operations Platform
Spotlight on the Platforms:
The Djura light tactical vehicle leverages the globally recognized Toyota Land Cruiser platform. Weighing in at 5.7 tonnes and powered by a 200hp diesel engine, it offers STANAG-compliant protection against small arms fire (automatic rifles) and grenade fragments. Designed for adaptability in extreme conditions, it features a turret mount for machine guns and can be configured to transport personnel, essential supplies, or even robotic systems.

The Kozak series represents Practika’s evolution in armored vehicle design, focusing on delivering high levels of crew survivability and tactical mobility essential for modern combat scenarios. Key variants include:
- Kozak-2: Built on an Iveco chassis with a 279hp engine, adopted by Ukraine’s National Guard in 2016.
- Kozak-2M1: Featuring a distinctive monocoque hull (V-hull design for blast protection) and weighing 12 tonnes, this variant entered service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2020.
- Kozak-5: Utilizing the Ford F-550 chassis (10 tonnes), notably replacing older KrAZ trucks in artillery brigades and achieving export success, including sales to Saudi Arabia.
- Kozak-7: Introduced in 2022, representing further enhancements in protection and capabilities.
Crucially, vehicles in the Kozak line have undergone rigorous testing according to NATO standards, demonstrating resilience against significant explosive threats and direct fire, ensuring crew survivability.
