Falcons, a Ukrainian defense technology company founded in response to the 2022 full-scale invasion, has secured funding from U.S.-based Green Flag Ventures. The investment will accelerate the production of its combat-tested electronic warfare systems and prepare them for entry into NATO and allied markets.

Falcons, a Kyiv-based defense-tech startup, today announced a strategic investment from the American venture capital firm Green Flag Ventures. The funding is earmarked for scaling the company’s flagship Radio Frequency (RF) direction-finding system, ETER, and advancing it toward official NATO certification.
The company specializes in developing cost-effective solutions for GPS-denied environments, a critical challenge in modern warfare. Its systems are designed to detect and locate enemy assets by their radio emissions, including drones, communication equipment, and electronic warfare (EW) platforms.
The ETER system has a notable track record on the battlefield. According to the company, its technology contributed to the confirmed destruction of a Russian military system valued at approximately $90 million.
Yehor Dudinov, CEO and Co-founder of Falcons and an active-duty military serviceman, framed the investment as a validation of Ukraine’s unique innovation environment.
“This investment is proof that Ukrainian combat experience creates technologies with global relevance”, said Dudinov. “Backed by Green Flag Ventures, we can move faster from battlefield lessons to systems that strengthen the Alliance’s electronic warfare resilience”.
The system’s key advantages are its operational design and significant cost-efficiency. It functions without GPS, is built into a compact form factor for rapid deployment, and offers a remarkable 30 to 50-fold cost advantage over comparable systems currently used by NATO forces, while providing operational coverage of over 600 kilometers.
Green Flag Ventures focuses on Ukrainian-founded startups with dual-use technologies proven in combat.
“Falcons is a shining example of Ukraine’s defense innovation ecosystem”, stated Deborah Fairlamb, Co-founder of Green Flag Ventures. “The company has proven its ability to design, deploy, and refine battlefield technology, shaping the future of electronic warfare defense for Ukraine and its allies”.
The strategic value of integrating such agile, field-tested systems into the Alliance’s toolkit was emphasized by Dr. William “Dollar” Young, a former senior U.S. military leader and expert in electronic warfare.
“Falcons proves that […] cross-functional teams can deliver electronic warfare capability at the speed of modern conflict”, Dr. Young noted. “This isn’t just a Ukrainian asset – it’s a recipe for strategic advantage for the entire Alliance”.
With the new capital, Falcons will focus on three primary goals: achieving NATO standardization for ETER, expanding its team of engineers and frontline specialists, and developing a comprehensive export strategy. This investment signals a clear path for battle-proven Ukrainian technology to play a significant role in the defense infrastructure of NATO and its partners.
