Imagine a slender stalk rising from the earth, almost invisible to the naked eye. Suddenly, it unfurls in a mere 80 seconds, reaching skyward, becoming a beacon for friendly forces or a thorn in the side of the enemy. This is Plyushch in action, its mast deploying with surprising speed, transforming from inconspicuous traveler to a potent tool of communication or electronic warfare. And when it’s time to disappear, it folds back down in just 60 seconds, ready to move to its next location.
This silent operator tips the scales at a respectable 775 kg (about 1700 lbs), but don’t let that fool you. Plyushch can cover a remarkable 40 kilometers (over 24 miles) on a single charge, creeping along at a steady 9 km/h (around 5.5 mph) – a deliberate pace designed to keep it hidden from prying eyes.
Its communication range is equally impressive: thanks to its SIYI 5.8 GHz radio system, Plyushch can stay connected with its operator up to 10 kilometers (over 6 miles) away in open terrain. This ensures that the human controller remains safe and sound, far from the line of fire.
Plyushch is the latest addition to Robotized Complexes’ growing arsenal of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). Like its siblings, the “Murakha” – a tireless ant hauling supplies and rescuing comrades – and the “Bogomol” – a praying mantis with a deadly 12.7 mm sting – Plyushch embodies the Ukrainian spirit of resilience and innovation.
