In a significant battlefield tech upgrade, Ukrainian firm Kvertus has unleashed the AD Berserk, a mobile electronic warfare (EW) system built on an unmanned ground platform. This isn’t just a concept; CEO Yaroslav Filimonov confirmed the system is already rolling into serial production, ready to shield Ukrainian forces from the ever-present drone threat.

The Berserk is engineered for endurance and dominance on the electronic battlefield. It boasts a 20-kilometer control range and can operate autonomously for up to 12 hours. Its core mission is to establish a protective bubble, jamming the full spectrum of frequencies used by enemy assets—from kamikaze FPVs to bomber and reconnaissance drones.
Key Specs of the Drone Shield:
- Comprehensive Jamming: The system disrupts all critical command frequencies from 220 to 1050 MHz and jams video feeds on the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands.
- Layered Defense: It projects a defensive zone using omnidirectional antennas effective up to 800 meters and powerful directional antennas that neutralize threats up to 1,500 meters away.
Designed with front-line realities in mind, the Berserk’s primary roles are high-stakes operations: protecting medical evacuations, providing cover for demining teams, supporting infantry during assaults, and securing vital logistics corridors.
This new platform is a clear evolution of Kvertus’s previous work, likely stemming from the “Volia-E” prototype showcased last year. A visual comparison reveals the Berserk is armed with a significantly larger array of antennas. This upgrade is a direct response to the escalating complexity of drone warfare, demonstrating a rapid, iterative approach to defense innovation.
The AD Berserk fits into Kvertus’s grander strategy, which includes Project “Atlas”. As previously reported by TechUkraine, Atlas aims to construct a layered “anti-drone wall” along the entire line of contact. The Berserk system represents a mobile, tactical element of this vision, designed to bring sophisticated EW capabilities directly to the point of need, whenever and wherever it’s required.
