“Build with Ukraine”: Quantum Systems and Frontline Robotics Launch Joint Production of “Zoom” and “Linza” Drones in Germany

German deftech unicorn Quantum Systems and Ukrainian innovator Frontline Robotics are joining forces to establish a new manufacturing stronghold in Germany. Under the newly formed entity, Quantum Frontline Industries, the partners will launch the serial production of combat-proven Ukrainian drones for the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

This strategic move operates within the framework of the Build with Ukraine initiative, combining German industrial precision with Ukrainian combat innovation.

The Mission: Serial Production Abroad

According to information provided to DOU by Frontline Robotics, the joint venture aims to scale the production of two specific Ukrainian unmanned aerial systems:

  • “Zoom” – a reconnaissance drone;

  • “Linza” – a “drone-bomber”.

Both models are proprietary developments of Frontline Robotics and are already actively deployed on the front lines. The companies confirmed that all units assembled at the German facility will be transferred to Ukraine in volumes coordinated directly with the Ministry of Defense.

Industrial Synergy

The partnership is structured to leverage the specific strengths of both companies:

  • Quantum Systems is responsible for the industrial backbone: production equipment, automation processes, and infrastructure.

  • Frontline Robotics provides the intellectual property, granting production licenses, transferring technology, and training personnel.

This collaboration effectively merges Ukrainian battlefield R&D with German expertise in mass industrial manufacturing.

Strategic Scaling and Recruitment

Production is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026. The decision to manufacture abroad is driven by the need to rapidly scale output while mitigating risks associated with the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The project will also create significant employment opportunities. Frontline Robotics announced plans to hire approximately 200 specialists, specifically seeking technicians, engineers, and test pilots. The recruitment strategy includes a unique focus on Ukrainian talent abroad.

“Among those who can strengthen the team with expertise are Ukrainian military pilots currently living abroad after demobilization”, the company’s press service stated.

Security and Context

For security reasons, the exact location of the new enterprise remains undisclosed.

This joint venture serves as a continuation of the partnership between Quantum Systems and Frontline Robotics announced earlier this year. Both parties view this as a pivotal step in a broader strategy to establish a resilient production base for Ukrainian defense technologies within Europe.
