Generation H Expands Globally: Ukraine’s Premier HealthTech Accelerator Opens Third Cohort for Diaspora Founders

The global digital health market has surged past the $300 billion mark, with AI in medicine growing at an annual rate of 35–40%. Yet, for many startups, the bridge between a functional MVP and a scalable clinical solution remains fraught with regulatory hurdles and complex procurement cycles.

To address this gap, SET University and the Tokarev Foundation have announced the third season of Generation H, a specialized HealthTech acceleration program. In a strategic shift, the program is opening its doors to Ukrainian-led teams based anywhere in the world for the first time.

Scaling Beyond Borders

The 10-week intensive program is designed for startups that have already developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or a market-ready product with initial sales. The goal is rapid scaling and international market entry.

Since its inception, Generation H has accelerated 30 projects. Its alumni have collectively raised over 11 million UAH in funding and gained recognition at prestigious global stages, including IT Arena, Google for Startups, EIT Jumpstarter, and the TechCrunch Startup Battlefield Top 200. Notable alumni include:

  • Ovul: An AI-powered fertility tracking device utilizing saliva analysis.

  • TAYRA.AI: An AI medical scribe that automates and structures doctor-patient consultations.

  • M Shield: A biotech venture developing treatments to prevent the spread of metastases.

The Strategy: From Undervalued to Global Hub

The move to include the Ukrainian diaspora reflects a broader ambition to consolidate national talent regardless of geography. Sergey Tokarev, impact investor and co-founder of SET University and the Tokarev Foundation, emphasizes that HealthTech requires a unique blend of innovation and compliance.

“I invest in HealthTech because it offers the shortest path from technology to a real impact on quality of life”, says Serhiy Tokarev. “However, this industry requires more than just a good product—it demands an understanding of regulation, medical logic, and decision-making cycles. Two years ago, we launched Generation H with the hypothesis that Ukrainian HealthTech was undervalued, and we confirmed it. Now, we are testing the next step: whether Ukraine can become a global hub for HealthTech innovation”.

Mentorship and Market Access

Participants in the third cohort will gain access to a hybrid format that allows international teams to participate without relocation. The program offers:

  • Personalized mentorship and business model verification.

  • Product “crash tests” and workshops on international market entry.

  • Regulatory compliance support and direct matchmaking with VCs.

  • A 650,000 UAH grant for the top-performing team.

The mentorship lineup features heavyweights from the global MedTech and VC ecosystem:

How to Apply

Applications are open until May 24, 2026. Early-stage HealthTech founders looking to leverage Ukraine’s engineering excellence and the program’s global network can apply via the official SET University website.

As the boundaries between software and biology continue to blur, the question remains: can the next generation of Ukrainian founders define the future of global patient care?
