Ukraine at CES 2024: IoT and Healthtech Innovations

How much do you know about innovative water treatment solutions? And what about an optimized delivery service? Continuing the series of materials about Ukrainian startups that will represent our country at one of the world’s largest tech conferences — Consumer Electronics Show 2024, we want to tell the stories about Jetbeep and Melt Water Club.

Jetbeep

Jetbeep — is an IoT company that has several products in its portfolio. The latest and most important one is autonomous smart parcel lockers. 

In addition to smart post offices, Jetbeep offers solutions in Retail and Transport. Here are some of them: talking about the retail, the company identifies customers that are entering the stores and sends a single notification that leads to personalized offers and promotions. Or it provides a seamless loyalty experience by tapping the Jetbeep device with a smartphone at the checkout to transfer customer ID, coupons and receive cashback from favorite brands. Transport solutions include mobile ticketing in public transportation. Jetbeep allows passengers to buy and validate tickets over the air with their smartphones. The process is initiated as the passengers enter public transportation.

To the CES conference, the company plans to go with autonomous smart parcel lockers. Jetbeep founders Valeriy Chekalkin and Oleg Hordiichuk tell us how the company managed to come to this decision.

“As with everything beautiful, we came to this product by accident 🙂 Our partners ordered us a controller that remotely opens the door of a post office from a smartphone and allows the post office to be autonomous, i.e. not connected to the power grid. While we were making the prototype, we realized that our product solves the client’s headache in a growing market – optimizing capital and operating costs and at the same time, allowing them to be closer to their customers. Then we started to study the market and received great feedback in the form of pre-orders, so now Jetbeep is 95% engaged in post offices. We have two directions for this product: selling the technology and building our own open network in Europe. We are currently working on a pilot of an agnostic (open) network in Germany,” — commented. 

Expectations from the American market

 “We believe that the US market is very promising for our product. For large cities, it is a classic agnostic network, where post offices with cells are located in “passable” places. For “one-story America”, it is a kind of agnostic home post office, like a mailbox, where all delivery services can deliver. Also we plan selling our technology to existing market operators,” — founders add. 

Melt Water Club 

About Startup

Melt Water Club is at the forefront of innovation, redefining water purification with advanced technology, setting new standards for quality and sustainability. Company creates portable and stationary water purification devices with a capacity of 18 to 150 liters per day. The basic model is 24 liters. Currently, the device can boast of its energy efficiency – the basic model consumes 120 watts per hour. The device is also environmentally friendly – it has no filters at all, no equipment that needs to be replaced.

“Our team focuses on the development and production of highly efficient and environmentally friendly water treatment systems using innovative freezing technology. This niche has been chosen historically, as I have been interested in water purification research since school and realized that we all share the same planet, and water is the basis of life. That is why, due to the great impact on the environment and climate that the process of water purification by freezing has, we chose a niche and research into this natural process,” — Andrew Osadchyi, CEO at Melt Water Club comments. 

The team is also currently working on a portable water purification gadget that can be used to fill water without being connected to a running water supply. They are also developing an app that will remind you when the device needs to be rinsed.

Expectations from the American market

Andrew identified two key factors: market potential: the American market is large and diverse, which can provide significant demand for innovative water treatment technologies. And global expansion: “Successful penetration of the American market can serve as a basis for further global expansion of Melt Water Club,” — he adds.
