Ready, Steady, Go! It’s time to go to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show. This year’s Ukrainian delegation consists of 12 startups that were selected on a competitive basis. The firms will present their innovations to the international community in many segments: logistics, medtech, biotech, agritech, human capital management, and robotics. The startups and organizers of the delegation worked hard for three months to represent our country at one of the largest international conferences in the world. This year’s motives and pillars are clear and understandable: diversity, bravery, transparency and sustainability.
Let’s refresh our memory of this year’s innovators who will represent Ukraine at CES 2024:
- CheckEye – AI/ML solution for mass screening of chronic diseases and their complications.
- Versi Bionics provides services in bionic prosthetics, which combines a reasonable price, service life and quality. Right now the company works on its comprehensive product — a bionic prosthetic arm with a unique two-axis automatic rotating wrist.
- Deus Robotics automates warehouses with smart robots, increasing efficiency and solving the problem of labor shortages.
- Meredot creates wireless charging stations for micro mobility vehicles like electric shopping carts, scooters, wheelchairs, food delivery robots, and other similar equipment.
- FarmFleet is a specialized online service designed to optimize business processes in the fast-growing market of drone sprayer services and the general agricultural service business.
- FARMHUB is a software package and a special device aimed at increasing milk yields by timely detecting the lust and health status of animals.
- Melt Water Club creates portable and stationary water purification devices with a capacity of 18 to 150 liters per day. Company redefines water purification with advanced technology, setting new standards for quality and sustainability.
- OptySun is a fully self-contained device for rapid water purification and disinfection in any place, including emergency conditions.
- InVisionaryBox — an out of the box SaaS solution based on augmented reality and AI technologies for Increase customer engagement and for children’s entertainment. All products and projects can be customized and adapted to the context and objectives of each organization.
- ShinyClub is a desktop gadget combined with an artificial intelligence service to improve the productivity of remote teams.
- Jetbeep — solution for autonomous parcel lockers. The company is a technology provider and operator of its own network of gadgets.
- MyBro — impressive e-bike for commercial delivery. Startup will bring electric scooters for courier services of supermarket chains and postal companies of its own production to CES 2024.
The trade mission organizers include:
- Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine — a government ministry in Ukraine which is working on creation of a “state in the smartphone” with the ambition to make Ukraine a world champion in digital.
- USF (Ukrainian Startup Fund) is a state institution that drives the development of the startup ecosystem, provides conditions for the growth of the sector, shapes the positive investment image of the Ukrainian tech industry abroad, and represents Ukrainian innovative solutions around the world.
- UVCA (Ukrainian Venture Capital Association) — organization, which was established to spread the word about Ukraine’s achievements and opportunities and to support investors in every aspect, from providing reliable information to establishing international connections at the industry and government levels.
- USAID CEP (United States Agency for International Development in Ukraine, Competitive Economy Program) — an independent agency of the United States government that is primarily responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance.
Information support was provided by:
- TechUkraine — a platform focused on supporting Ukraine’s fast-growing tech ecosystem. It aims at uniting and driving cooperation among ecosystem leaders, government officials, business partners and donors to further support Tech and to foster ecosystem integration in the global technological ecosystem.
It is also worth mentioning that in preparation for the conference, the startups attended two-week training courses to improve their knowledge in marketing, management, relations with investors, and jurisdiction. The startups consolidated the theory with practice by pitching their ideas to Dmytro Kuzmenko, CEO of UVCA, one of the main coordinators of the Ukrainian trade mission.
