Tencore Lands Record $3.74M to Scale Production of its Battle-Tested TerMIT UGV

In a major development for Ukraine’s defense industry, robotics firm Tencore has secured a landmark $3.74 million in funding from the Ukrainian-American investment group MITS Capital. The deal, which places the company’s valuation between $40 and $50 million, is the largest of its kind for a Ukrainian ground robotics manufacturer and is set to accelerate the production of its flagship platform.

This isn’t just an investment in a company; it’s a massive vote of confidence in a specific, battle-proven technology: the TerMIT unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).

From State Trials to Mass Production

The timing of the investment is critical. It comes shortly after the TerMIT platform successfully completed rigorous state trials and was officially greenlit for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Tencore has grown rapidly from a small founding team to over 215 employees, laying the groundwork for the next phase: mass production.

According to CEO Maksym Vasylchenko, the new capital will directly fuel this expansion. The company is launching a new engineering center and hiring more specialists to scale up manufacturing and continue modernizing the platform. The goal is ambitious: produce up to 2,000 TerMIT units in 2025, primarily for state defense contracts.

Spotlight on the TerMIT: A Modular Workhorse

The TerMIT earned its codification through sheer capability. It’s a modular, all-terrain workhorse designed for the harsh realities of the modern battlefield. Its key strength lies in its adaptability; the platform can be rapidly reconfigured for a variety of critical missions, including:

  • Logistical Support: Transporting ammunition and supplies to forward positions.
  • Medical Evacuation: Safely evacuating wounded personnel from hot zones.
  • Fire Support: Serving as a mobile platform for various weapon systems.

With over 90% of its components produced locally, the TerMIT is a prime example of Ukrainian resilience and engineering prowess.

A Vision Beyond the Battlefield

Looking ahead, Tencore plans to leverage the TerMIT’s robust design for a crucial post-war mission: humanitarian demining. In 2025, the company will begin developing configurations specifically for clearing Ukraine’s vast territories of mines and unexploded ordnance, turning a tool of defense into a tool of recovery.

By combining proven technology, state adoption, and now, significant venture capital, Tencore is setting the standard in a bustling domestic market.

As TechUkraine previously reported, the TerMIT platform represents a new generation of tactical support for Ukraine’s defenders.
