On 30 June, the official opening and presentation of InterHEI Food and Health Innovators Ukraine took place at the Lviv Polytechnic National University Assembly Hall.
InterHEI Food and Health Innovators Ukraine – a two-part training, mentoring and acceleration program for students with a startup idea and all those interested in the food/healthcare industry, as well as representatives of early-stage startups or spin-off companies in the relevant field seeking to accelerate growth.

The opening ceremony included welcoming remarks by Mansour Esmaeil Zaei, InterHEI project coordinator from the University of Warsaw, Pavlo Kartashov, director of the Ukrainian Startup Fund, Nazar Podolchak, director of Lviv Polytechnic Science Park, Tetiana Hetman, director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of Lviv Regional State Administration, Serhii Lushchyk, director general of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Science Park, and Ganna Tolstanova, vice-rector for research at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Representatives of NULP Science Park Nazar Podolchak and Volodymyr Zubchenko, as well as Evelina Komarnytska – representative from the Ukrainian Startup Fund, spoke about the opportunities for participation, the program plan, planned events, training, prospects for launching startups, and types of mentoring support for participating startups.
In addition, students of Lviv Polytechnic, representatives of the startup team I.M.R.I.U., introduced GrainSense as an example of a successful startup in the industrial food industry, and Evelina presented current opportunities for startups from the Ukrainian Startup Fund.
Applications will be accepted from 30 June to 21 July 2023 inclusive, and the students’ training and startup/spin-off support program from InterHEI Food and Health Innovators Ukraine will begin in August 2023.
