Tech Ukrainian Women: Documentary about Ukrainians at Silicon Valley

The story of the film is about brave Ukrainians who tell their stories of failures, attempts and successes as they conquer Silicon Valley and California. Our Heroes: startups, investment funds and professors of top universities, they share their thoughts, their experience, and life hacks.

Ukraine has a dozen of brave female founders. Women, who moved to US and developed their their businesses, share stories about their way, motivation and values.

“Silicon Valley is a place where the vibe of creation – creation – creation reigns. It is very inspiring, and the community of these people that exists here helps a lot to do the project,” – comments Alyona Mysko, co-founder of Fuelfinance, — I could never understand why finance is so boring for entrepreneurs, and everyone just disowns it, and no one wants to do it. So I made my project where finances are more funny.”

“Silicon Valley is a place where your ideas and your potential determine much more than where you’re from. People from all over the world come here who plan to change the world with the help of new technologies. The ecosystem gives you the opportunity to build much larger products, invest in much greater opportunities. Investors, one of whom I am, see the world much differently. They are open to projects with international founders. Education is a great and powerful tool that opens doors,” — adds Halyna Vasylenko, a technology entrepreneur, head of the Social Boost cyber accelerator.

This is what brave Ukrainian women tell about Silicon Valley – participants of the film “TECH UKRAINIANS at Silicon Valley”. These are women who are inspired there to create new projects and prove that women entrepreneurs also have a place in the world of innovation and technology.

“Why is everyone drawn to Silicon Valley, because 80% – 90% of private venture money is here on the same street. Ukrainian projects are more motivated! We don’t have this street” – Kateryna Degtiar – Great Connector, Director of Startup Grind Kyiv, Representative of Startup Grind Global in Ukraine.

In the film, startups, foundations and professors of Stanford share their impressions, experience of working with Ukrainians and their-ups. Ukrainians are talented and have a good potential to inspire others to create their products.

“The recommendation to a Ukrainian startup is to be happy, not to lie to yourself – to ask yourself the question – for what?” – Kateryna Degtiar – Great Connector, Director of Startup Grind Kyiv, Representative of Startup Grind Global in Ukraine.

“What I do, I constantly hire people to whom I tell how many candidates for Linkedin should be registered. It wasn’t innovative. And I thought about it” – Lidia Terpel – co-founder of Skyworker.ai

The film will premiere in July on YouTube channel – Around Fintech
