Win-win is a global innovation vision for Ukraine. The strategy includes aspects of digitalization, politics, security, economy, society, and environment. The strategy’s key is encoded in technology, the country’s strong point, which has been driving transformations for years before the full-scale russian invasion and during the war.
“The Strategy of Innovative Activity of Ukraine defines the vision of the country as a country of innovations; directions, principles, goals and objectives of the state policy in the field of innovative activity. The purpose of the state policy in the field of innovation is to increase the technological level of the economy, its efficiency and competitiveness to ensure a high quality of life, meet the economic and social needs of society through the development of the national innovation ecosystem, create favorable conditions for innovation in Ukraine, realize the innovative potential and implement the results of intellectual activity,” the strategy says.
Everything in the MinDigital’s strategy is tied to innovation and its development. The document creates a new structure for the development of innovations and establishes a new body responsible for implementing the innovation and investment attraction strategy — State Agency for Development of Innovations. The State Agency for Innovation will coordinate the creation of the ecosystem and ensure the implementation of the strategy at the regional, national and international levels. Document defines the main priority areas of innovation: Defencetech, Medtech, Agritech, XR, AUV, Biotech, Greentech, AI, Semiconductors Secure, Cyberspace, Fluid Economy, Edtech and Govtech.
The strategy has now been submitted for public discussion. An operational plan for implementation will be developed based on the results of the discussions.
