The Solana Foundation will host the global Solana Renaissance Hackathon from March 4th to April 8th, 2024, in an online format.
The Renaissance will be the first competitive selection of the Colosseum as an independent organization and will be the first hackathon where the company directly invests in selected winners and accepts founder teams into a new acceleration program.

Colosseum hackathons do not follow the standard structure of traditional hackathons. They are intensive engineering and business sprints where the best developers compete for a total prize pool and pre-seed investments totaling over 1 million US dollars across the following categories and tracks:
- The Grand Champion will receive $50,000 USD and three tickets to Solana Breakpoint in 2024.
- Six prizes ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 USD in each of the following tracks: Consumer Apps, DeFi & Payments, DAOs & Startup Communities, DePIN, Gaming, and Infrastructure.
- The University Award, a $10,000 USD prize, will be awarded to the best student team.
- The Public Goods Award, a $10,000 USD prize, will be awarded to the team that creates open-source technology benefiting the entire ecosystem.
- The Climate Award, supporting green and climate-friendly projects, will receive $5,000 USD.
All hackathon winners will be interviewed and evaluated for participation in the Colosseum accelerator. Up to 15 winners will be accepted into the Colosseum acceleration program, with each receiving access to an exclusive mentorship network, $250,000 USD in pre-seed investments, and private features of the Colosseum platform. Additionally, Colosseum will host a demo day where accelerator teams will have the opportunity to showcase their projects to leading venture capital funds.
The Colosseum team has also prepared a guide with clear advice on how to become a winner of the Colosseum hackathon.
Participation in the hackathon is free of charge. All participation details can be found in the official rules.
The hackathon will take place online on the Colosseum platform. Additionally, for the convenience of participants, there is an option for offline participation for those who wish to immerse themselves in the work, meet other participants in person, and receive advice. The location is organized by the Kumeka Team, the official Ukrainian Solana Hub. Therefore, the organizers warmly invite residents of Kyiv, as well as anyone who has the opportunity, to come to the address: 15B Borysohlibska Street, Kyiv, at the BeeWorking coworking space to meet in person. Participants should bring their identification, as the coworking space administrator will check the documents of all participants for security purposes. From March 8th to April 8th, the coworking space will operate 24/7, but people will not be allowed to leave the premises during curfew hours.
