The Ukrainian Solana community, Kumeka Team, is launching free training in blockchain development — Solana BootCamp

Starting from May 7, 2024, an intensive six-week online bootcamp will begin for anyone interested in learning about blockchain development and how to create programs on the Solana blockchain.

Developers of all levels from web2 and web3 can participate. Knowledge of cryptography or the Rust language is not required. The main requirement is an understanding of TypeScript since it is the language for the JS/TS SDK. Additionally, understanding strictly typed languages is a good foundation for learning Rust.

During the bootcamp, participants will learn to independently create simple programs on Solana. Additionally, developers will have the opportunity to join the Ukrainian Solana hackathon organized by Kumeka Team as part of the Ukrainian Blockchain Week.

“After the conclusion of the Solana Renaissance global hackathon, in which Ukrainian teams participated, we secured support from the Solana Foundation to facilitate onboarding into the technology. Many teams during the hackathon needed Solana Rust developers to implement their projects.

Therefore, in collaboration with our Learning partners, IdeaSoft Career Booster, we are preparing a Ukrainian translation of their Rust + Solana development course for Beginners, as well as a separate intensive bootcamp program for developers who may not even be familiar with the basics of cryptography,” explains Andrii Hnatiuk, co-founder of Kumeka Team.

All Ukrainian projects should be seen and heard, according to the founders of Kumeka Team. Thus, after the Solana Renaissance global hackathon 2024, the community is launching a Ukrainian hackathon supported by the Solana Foundation, which will take place during the Ukrainian Blockchain Week.

The Kumekathon starts on June 17 and ends on June 22. The hackathon welcomes all Ukrainian projects related to the Solana blockchain. This includes projects that participated in the global Solana hackathon as well as new participants. Therefore, bootcamp graduates can also participate in the Kumekathon hackathon.

All participants who complete the bootcamp will receive an NFT certificate as proof of their learning. Additionally, they will have the chance to win cool prizes from Kumeka Team:

  • MacBook Air 13 laptop
  • Airpods Pro 2 headphones
  • Bluetti EB3 charging station
