The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Startup Fund, and supported by the Ukraine Moldova American Enterprise Fund and Seeds of Bravery, is calling on Ukrainian startups to apply for a chance to represent the national tech ecosystem at Web Summit Lisbon 2024.
Web Summit Lisbon: A Global Tech Gathering
In November, Lisbon will host tens of thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, and tech leaders for Web Summit Lisbon, the world’s largest tech innovation conference. Each year, Web Summit Lisbon attracts over 70,000 attendees, more than 1,000 investors, and 3,000 of the most promising startups from around the globe, all with the shared goal of shaping the future.
Benefits for Selected Startups
24 selected Ukrainian startups will receive:
- A spot in the startup pavilion.
- Entrance tickets for representatives.
- Participation in delegation activities, side events, and meetings with government officials and tech organizations.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Seed or Series A stage.
- Presence of clients, traction, or attracted investments.
- Unique software or hardware product.
- Founded less than 5 years ago, with up to 150 team members.
- Utilization of technologies created in Ukraine or R&D development in Ukraine.
- Positioning as a Ukrainian startup and presence of a Ukrainian legal entity.
- Willingness to cover travel and accommodation expenses.
Selection Process:
- Application submission on the USF portal.
- Eligibility check.
- Online Pitch Day: Presentation before a jury of Ukrainian and international experts.
- Selection of 24 startups based on evaluation and invitation to join the Ukrainian delegation at Web Summit Lisbon 2024.
Timeline:
- Application submission: September 6-15, 2024
- Status update on the USF portal: September 17, 2024
- Online Pitch Day: September 20, 2024
- Application deadline: September 15, 2024, 23:59
