In a significant step forward for Ukrainian drone production and the ongoing defense efforts, Ukrainian manufacturers have been invited to participate in tenders organized by the Drone Coalition for the first time. This opportunity, presented within the framework of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format), aims to boost domestic production capabilities and secure a technological advantage on the battlefield.

The tender series includes two crucial lots:
- Advanced FPV (First-Person View) drones: These drones provide real-time video feeds to the operator, allowing for precision targeting and enhanced situational awareness.
- Interceptor drones: Designed to counter and neutralize enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), interceptor drones play a critical role in protecting airspace and critical infrastructure.
Ukrainian manufacturers interested in participating in the tenders must register on the UK Ministry of Defence website and submit their applications by the following deadlines:
- FPV drones: October 14th
- Interceptor drones: November 11th
Submissions will be evaluated by Drone Coalition members, and the winning companies will receive orders for drone production, followed by rigorous testing and evaluation. Successful outcomes could lead to substantial FPV drone orders, fostering long-term industrial-scale manufacturing within Ukraine.
Key Points:
- This marks the first time Ukrainian companies can participate in Drone Coalition tenders.
- The initiative aims to boost domestic drone production and secure a technological advantage.
- Two lots are available: advanced FPV drones and interceptor drones.
- Applications must be submitted through the UK Ministry of Defence website.
- Winning companies will receive production orders and undergo testing.
- Success could lead to large-scale FPV drone orders and industrial-scale manufacturing.
The Drone Coalition, established in February 2024 during the 19th Ramstein meeting and coordinated by Latvia and the United Kingdom, unites 16 partner countries actively supplying drones to Ukraine. With a pooled fund of 50 million euros, the Coalition is committed to procuring an additional 20,000 to 30,000 drones for Ukraine’s defense.
This unprecedented opportunity empowers Ukrainian businesses to contribute directly to the war effort and establish technological supremacy on the battlefield.
