In response to the increasing threat of drone attacks, a Ukrainian company has developed a new combat module designed to take down FPV drones. The module, called “Khyzhak” (Predator in English), was created by the same team behind the “Fury” unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) and boasts advanced features like AI targeting and stabilized weaponry.
Key Features:
- Versatile Mounting: Khyzhak can be integrated onto robotic platforms, stationary positions, vehicles, and even naval vessels.
- Effective Weaponry: Armed with a 7.62mm PKT machine gun, the module offers 360-degree horizontal rotation and 75-degree vertical elevation.
- Stabilized System: The weapon system is stabilized, enabling accurate fire while on the move.
- AI-Powered Targeting: Artificial intelligence allows Khyzhak to automatically detect and track targets, including FPV drones.
- Proven Performance: In tests, the module successfully engaged FPV drones at ranges from 50 to 220 meters, with target recognition up to 250 meters.
Future Enhancements:
The developers plan to integrate a laser rangefinder and angle meter to enable automatic calculation of lead for improved accuracy and ammunition efficiency.
Deployment and Feedback:
An initial batch of over 10 Khyzhak modules has been delivered to Ukrainian forces. Feedback from field use will inform further refinements and enhancements.
