Davos, Switzerland – In a significant step towards shaping the digital future, Ukraine and Germany have jointly launched the Global GovTech Board, the first global council of digital transformation leaders, at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Key partners present at the event included Markus Richter, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community, and the heads of GovTech centers in Kyiv and Berlin, Zoya Lytvyn and Manuel Kilian.

The Global GovTech Board is a platform for:
- Sharing experiences and best practices in digital service development.
- Fostering technological innovation in the public sector.
- Strengthening cybersecurity and digital infrastructure.
- Creating high-quality, citizen-centric digital services worldwide.
Ukraine’s participation in the Board will enable the country to:
- Share its expertise in building a digital state, exemplified by the successful Diia platform.
- Learn from global best practices in digital service delivery.
- Collaborate with top IT executives (CIOs) and digital ministers from various countries to address global challenges.
The Global GovTech Centers in Kyiv and Berlin will serve as the executive bodies of the Board, coordinating its activities, organizing events, and supporting the implementation of international initiatives.
In 2025, the Board will focus on structuring its governance, attracting new members, and laying the foundation for long-term collaboration. A founding meeting is planned in Berlin to bring together CIOs/CDOs, officially launch the initiative, and define strategic priorities.
This initiative is supported by the East Europe Foundation and the EGAP Program, instrumental in establishing the Ukrainian GovTech Center and jointly implementing the new platform.
