In the modern theater of conflict, where the electromagnetic spectrum is the battleground, Unwave emerges with “Pastka” (Trap)—a revolutionary system designed to detect and neutralize radio threats. This isn’t just tech; it’s a strategic pillar bolstering Ukraine’s defense posture.

Since 2022, Unwave has solidified its role as a pivotal force in Ukraine’s defense, delivering cutting-edge Electronic Warfare (EW) solutions. Systems like the Boombox, Shatro, and Speka have become indispensable, safeguarding troops and disrupting enemy operations.
As a company representative noted, “Over the past three years, we have actively re-equipped entire units with our systems through government contracts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We have a very broad technological base for modernizing equipment, and we can say that we produce turnkey electronic warfare systems”.
Imagine a system that can pierce through the chaos of the electromagnetic field, pinpointing threats and neutralizing them before impact. “Pastka” does just that. Unveiled at the “Arsenal of Talents” exhibition, it establishes both fixed and mobile lines of defense against radio threats.
“This is a fully computerized system for creating both stationary and mobile lines that completely cover all tasks related to the detection and neutralization of radio threats”, explained Unwave’s chief engineer.
- Boombox BMX250-5 MSD: A multichannel, multi-frequency signal amplifier for the protection of positions and personnel. Rugged, portable design tailored for field deployment. Up to three hours of autonomous operation, thanks to an integrated battery.
- Shatro STR50-1 V: A single-channel, multi-frequency amplifier deployable on various vehicles. Operates across a wide frequency range, delivering potent defense.
Unwave isn’t merely assembling components; it’s constructing an independent EW ecosystem. Domestic production of interference generators, antenna systems, and other critical parts reduces reliance on external suppliers.
“Since the beginning of 2023, we have established our own production of interference generators for various ranges. And where we did not have the ranges covered, we involved third-party firms that have expertise in those areas. The share of our and Chinese components in these products is 50/50. If China cuts off the supply of these products, we are ready to fully switch to our own production”, emphasized Andriy, an Unwave representative.
Unwave is diligently integrating its systems into a unified network, coordinating radio reconnaissance and EW operations. The “Pastka” system is just the beginning. The company is also integrating systems like “Vitryak M”.
“First of all, we plan closer integration with radio reconnaissance systems and are also integrating recently adopted and codified products such as ‘Vitryak M.’ The development of the ‘Pastka’ information interaction system is actively underway”, summarized Unwave’s chief engineer.
Unwave’s “Pastka” system and its portfolio of solutions are reshaping the landscape of electronic warfare, providing Ukrainian forces with a decisive advantage. In an era where EW is paramount, Unwave is charting new frontiers.
