Aiming to bolster autonomous drone operations amidst the challenges of electronic warfare (EW) and unstable communications, Ukrainian startup Norda Dynamics has secured $150,000 in seed funding led by Angel One Fund. This investment directly fuels the enhancement and scaling of their specialized UAV control systems, positioning the company at the forefront of resilient navigation technology designed to operate effectively even when GPS signals are denied or communication links are severed.

The funding, part of a syndicated deal, underscores confidence in Norda’s battle-tested solutions. “Norda Dynamics’ technology has already proven its effectiveness in real combat scenarios”, stated Ivan Petrenko, Managing Partner at Angel One Fund. “We believe strongly in the team and see immense potential for scaling their products”.
At the heart of Norda’s innovation is Underdog, their flagship AI and computer vision-powered system. Designed for the critical final leg of a drone’s mission, Underdog takes over after a human operator designates a target via the drone’s camera. Leveraging onboard intelligence, the drone autonomously navigates the remaining distance, ensuring mission completion even under heavy interference – a common reality in modern operational environments.
Complementing Underdog is StableLink, a visual positioning system ensuring drones maintain stable altitude, azimuth, and coordinates without relying solely on external navigation signals. This enhances overall platform stability and reliability in contested airspace.
The fresh capital injection will be strategically deployed to scale production and further enhance the real-time combat effectiveness of Norda Dynamics’ product suite.
Angel One Fund, established in 2022 by the Ukrainian Catholic University Foundation, focuses on empowering early-stage (pre-seed and seed) Ukrainian startups. This marks the fund’s eighth investment overall and its seventh syndicated deal in 2024, signaling continued active support for the nation’s burgeoning tech ecosystem.
This funding round not only equips Norda Dynamics for growth but also highlights the critical role advanced AI and autonomous systems play in navigating the complexities of modern security challenges.
