Kyiv, Ukraine — The city’s vibrant tech ecosystem was on full display last week as IoT innovator Uniot clinched the top honor at the YEP Accelerator Demo Day on July 24. The startup secured a $25,000 non-equity grant, a major boost from YEP Accelerator and UMAEF’s u.ventures that will fuel its mission to redefine the Internet of Things landscape.

The prize marks a pivotal moment for the company, which stood out among a dynamic cohort of nine startups. For Uniot, the path forward is clear.
“Our current focus is on launching the open beta of our platform and preparing for monetization”, said Lisa Troyanova, CEO of Uniot. She explained that the team will also finalize B2B customer interviews and secure crucial pilot projects started during the accelerator.
The $25,000 grant will be strategically deployed to:
- Finalize the platform for a stable public release.
- Launch a targeted marketing campaign to onboard early adopters.
- Strengthen its DevRel (Developer Relations) efforts with enhanced documentation and demos.
- Expand its network at key industry conferences to forge partnerships and lay the groundwork for future scaling and investment rounds.
Beyond the grand prize, Uniot gained invaluable access to global networks. The team received an invitation to the MZP League, a prestigious community of Ukrainian founders in the U.S., and was included in the internal dealflow of the global innovation platform Plug and Play Tech Center, opening doors to a vast network of international investors.
