In a significant milestone for Ukraine’s burgeoning defense technology industry, HIMERA, a leading developer of tactical communication systems, has successfully completed a state contract for a European NATO member nation. The deal underscores the growing trust in Ukrainian-engineered solutions on the international stage and marks a new chapter in the company’s global expansion.

In an official statement, the HIMERA team announced the achievement: “HIMERA is proud to report the successful fulfillment of a state order for the Ministry of Defense of a European NATO member country… This is a pivotal moment for our company as we continue to build strong alliances with international partners to advance secure and resilient battlefield communication systems”.
The core of the contract involved not only the delivery of hardware but also comprehensive training for the allied nation’s military and signals corps units. During these exercises, the HIMERA system was rigorously tested and earned high commendations for its performance. The client specifically highlighted several key operational advantages:
- Stealth and Resilience: The system’s low probability of detection within the radio spectrum provides a critical layer of operational security. This, combined with its robust resistance to electronic warfare (EW) jamming, ensures that command and control remain uninterrupted even in highly contested environments.
- Tactical Efficiency: Praised for its rapid and straightforward configuration, the system allows units to establish secure MESH networks efficiently. Its extended battery life was also noted as a crucial element for supporting long-duration missions without logistical strain.
- Modern Warfare Adaptability: The system was recognized for its inherent flexibility and design, which is tailored to meet the dynamic and evolving demands of the contemporary battlefield.
Following this successful deployment, the partner nation is reportedly exploring the further integration of HIMERA’s communication platforms across a wider spectrum of its defense forces.
This achievement builds upon HIMERA’s strategic vision, which includes fortifying its products against future threats. As TechUkraine previously reported, the company forged a key partnership with quantum technology leader Quantropi in February 2025. This collaboration is focused on embedding next-generation, post-quantum encryption into HIMERA’s radios, preparing them for the security challenges of tomorrow.
