Following the successful dialogue of the “Forging the Future” webinar, TechUkraine, in close coordination with NRW.Global Business and key German industrial partners, is moving to the next phase of cooperation: Action.

We are launching the NRW – Ukraine Defence Tech Connect: Strategic Partnership Survey, a pre-qualification instrument designed to map the capabilities of Ukrainian innovators directly to specific cooperation models with German industrial leaders.

The Strategic Opportunity

North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) is Germany’s industrial core. While they possess world-class manufacturing infrastructure and capital, they require the agility, battle-tested technology, and rapid prototyping capabilities that only Ukrainian companies currently possess.

Conversely, Ukrainian DefenceTech, Aerospace, and Robotics companies need access to EU supply chains, certification support, and capital to scale. This initiative bridges that gap.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for companies in Defence Tech (Mil-Tech), Industrial Robotics, or Aerospace with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 7 or higher (system prototype demonstrated in an operational environment).

Why Participate?

This is not just a data collection exercise. Your profile will be reviewed to present a curated portfolio of high-potential Ukrainian companies to NRW stakeholders, including giants like Rheinmetall, German Drones, and other ecosystem partners.

By completing this survey, you position your company for:

  • Supply Chain Integration: Replacing non-EU components with certified German alternatives.

  • Co-Industrialization: Scaling up battle-proven technology for EU/NATO markets.

  • Access to Capital: Matching with direct investment opportunities focused on scaling production.

Next Steps

The survey takes approximately 12–15 minutes to complete. Selected companies will be invited to a tailored matchmaking process and introduced to relevant clusters in North Rhine-Westphalia for exploratory discussions.
